On September 21-22, Ipoteka participated in JP Morgan’s “Emerging Markets Credit Conference” which brought together all major players with investment interests for the emerging and developing economies.

Due to the fact that Ipoteka Bank is moving to a new processing center for international bank cards, we announce that from October 1, 2021, the bank will cease operations on existing Visa international bank cards.

The forum will be devoted to the analysis of economic reforms implemented in Uzbekistan over the past five years, as well as discussion of promising ideas for the further development of the economy.

On the 8th of July 2021 Moody’s international rating agency announced Ipoteka-bank’s long-term foreign and local-currency deposit ratings. According to the report, Ipoteka-bank’s rating was maintained at “B1/B1”, whilst the outlook was raised from “Stable” to “Positive”.

On the 30th of June 2021 Fitch ratings the international rating agency confirmed Ipoteka-bank’s ratings. According to the press-release, Ipoteka-bank’s long-term issuer default ratings have been confirmed at the level of “BB-/B”, prognosis is “Stable”.

Ipoteka-bank’s rating was maintained at “BB-”, whilst the outlook was raised from “negative” to “stable”.

June 3, 2021:  The OPEC Fund for International Development (OPEC Fund) has signed a US$30 million private sector loan agreement with the Joint Stock Commercial Mortgage Bank (JSCMB “Ipoteka Bank”), Uzbekistan.  The loan will be used for on-lending to small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Uzbekistan and support the bank’s pre-privatization efforts to shift to a more commercially viable and competitive business model.

In order to provide support and enable one of the largest textile enterprises of Uzbekistan with the opportunity hedge its long-term currency risks, in May 2021 Ipoteka-bank entered into its first ever FX forward time option with one of the leading German banks, Commerzbank AG (Zurich Branch).

American bank “JPMorgan Chase” awarded JSCMB “IPOTEKA-BANK” for its excellent performance with The 2020 U.S. Dollar Clearing Elite Quality Recognition Award. This award is given for Outstanding Achievement of Best-in-Class MT103 STP Rate 99,36%.
