Umidjon Khakimov was born in 1971. He received his Master's degree in the specialized higher business school of Tashkent State University in 1997. He also studied on Bachelor degree at the Tashkent State University of Economics in 2002 and Executive MBA at the London Business School in 2011.
He started his career in banking in 1999 at Joint-stock innovation commercial bank "Ipak Yuli" and in 1999-2006 he was worked effectively in various positions in the fields of project financing, microlending, lending operations, securities and money markets, marketing and clients policy, marketing and international financial institutions departments.
In 2006-2008 he worked as Deputy Chairman of the Board - Head of Corporate Banking at ABN AMRO BANK NB Uzbekistan. In 2008-2011 he worked as Deputy CEO – Head of Corporate Banking at Royal Bank of Scotland NB Uzbekistan.
In 2011-2021 he worked as the first Deputy Chairman of the Management Board in ASIA ALLIANCE BANK.
From 2021 to 2023 he worked as the Acting Chairman of the Management Board in ASIA ALLIANCE BANK.
Since December 2023 he has been working as the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Ipoteka bank that is part of OTP Group (Hungary) - Head of the Corporate Banking and Global Markets Block.
