In 2002, Irakli Elashvili graduated from Tbilisi State University named after Ivane Javakhishvili (Georgia) with a Bachelor’s degree in "Banking and Finance." In 2008, he graduated from the London Business School (United Kingdom) with a Master’s degree focusing on finance and private equity. As part of his studies, he completed a course at the UCLA Anderson School of Management (USA).

In 2006, he was honored with the Management Consultancies Association Award in London (United Kingdom). In 2018 and 2019, his work was recognized with the EMEA Finance Awards for Best Investment Bank in Georgia.

2000–2003 – Management Consultant, USAID Projects: Georgia Energy Security Initiative.
He participated in projects aimed at enhancing Georgia’s energy security.

2004–2006 – General Director, Power Utility Turnaround and Privatization Project (Georgia).
He managed two subsidiaries of Georgia’s largest state-owned energy enterprise.

2006 – Chief of staff, Power Utility Turnaround and Privatization Project, PA Consulting Group (Georgia).
He played a key role in one of the most successful privatization processes in Georgia, coordinating efforts between the government and investors.

2008–2011 – Associate Specialist, Leadership Development Program, Barclays Bank (United Kingdom).
He developed the bank’s European strategy and worked on financing projects in the renewable energy sector.

2011–2012 – Business Development Director, Corporate Banking, Barclays Bank (United Kingdom).
He expanded the lending business in Western Europe, the UAE, and India, while overseeing financial performance and managing international teams.

2012–2014 – Vice President, Chief Operating Officer for Special Projects, Global Treasury, Barclays Capital (United Kingdom).
He led the group’s strategic projects, achieving a profit increase of £1 billion through capital and financing optimization.

2015–2017 – Mergers and Acquisitions Banker in the Financial Institutions Sector, BNP Paribas (United Kingdom).
He advised on transactions involving the acquisition of European banks, capital raising, and the development of financial strategies.

2017 – Mergers and Acquisitions Advisor to the CEO, NIKOIL Bank (Azerbaijan).
He provided strategic advice to the bank’s management on merger and acquisition transactions.

2017–2019 – General Director, TBC Capital (Georgia).
He transformed an investment boutique into a leading bank and managed transactions in the capital markets.

2020 – Advisor (Georgia).
He advised one of Georgia’s largest banks on business transformation, collaborating with the World Bank and the Pension Investment Council of Georgia.

2020–2021 – General Director, FINCA Bank Georgia.
He led the transformation strategy, implemented Open Banking, and successfully concluded the sale process of the bank.

2021 – Present – Co-Managing Partner, Alpha Capital Advisory (Georgia).
He is the co-founder of an investment banking boutique consultant licensed by the National Bank of Georgia.

2021 – Present – Independent Member of the Supervisory Board, JSC Hamkorbank (Uzbekistan).

2023 – Present – Independent Member of the Supervisory Board, JSC Ukrgasbank (Ukraine).
