JSCMB “Ipoteka-bank” and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) have signed Loan Agreements to support green finance and women entrepreneurs.

JSCMB “Ipoteka-bank” and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) have been reliable partners for many years and have been making joint efforts to stimulate the business activity of small and medium-sized enterprises in Uzbekistan.
On February 29, 2024, the signing ceremony of Loan Agreements within the framework of the EBRD’s Central Asian Women in Business (WiB) programme and the second Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF II) programme in Uzbekistan between JSCMB “Ipoteka-bank” and the EBRD for a total amount of 20 million US dollars took place in the building of the EBRD's Tashkent office.
The official signing ceremony was attended by representatives of two financial institutions, headed by Managing Director for Central Asia and Mongolia of the EBRD Mrs. Zsuzsanna Hargitai and Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSCMB "Ipoteka-bank" Mr. Umid Khakimov.
The Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF II) programme will facilitate the transition to a climate - and environmental-resilient, low-carbon economy in Uzbekistan by improving access to renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency for small businesses and private entrepreneurship.
The Woman in Business (WiB) programme will support the active participation of women in business activities, thereby developing gender equality in access to finance and employment.
