After joining the OTP group, goals and objectives in the direction of sustainability are gaining momentum. To define and approve our short-term and strategic goals, we set about creating the bank's ESG strategy.
Therefore, the strategy was created and recently approved following the established procedure, after which work has already begun on the implementation of the goals specified in it.
It is accepted that ESG is a strategic approach that combines environmental issues, social issues, and corporate governance components/aspects. To ensure the principles of EGS factors in our work and the organization as a whole, we elaborated the ESG Strategy of our bank. The ESG Strategy is the main document, that indicates the long-term goals and responsibilities of the Sustainable Development Department. We assessed the local normative regulations and governmental initiatives based on which the business opportunities in the green direction were found. Additionally, it describes the management system of ESG risks and how the bank conducts stress testing on a periodical basis. Another commitment of the bank is to reach carbon neutrality and reduce the bank’s GHG emissions. Finally, to strengthen our social responsibility, we prescribed several projects to implement CSR into corporate governance and business.
