Ipoteka-bank took part in the ESG summit of the OTP group

On May 24-26 this year in Budapest (Hungary), the ESG summit of the OTP group was held. It was attended by banks belonging to the OTP group, the Hungarian regulator and the responsible officer of the bank Abdusalomov Bakhtiyor from Ipoteka Bank, among other invited organizations.


It was announced that would be speeches by the CEO and Chairman of the OTP group, Mr. Sándor Csányi, Vice President of the Regulatory Authority of the Republic of Hungary Mr. Csaba Kandrács, Director of Green Program Directorate, OTP Group Mr. Gergely Pókos, Director of the Research Center of the OTP Group Mr. Gergely Tardos and responsible employees of subsidiary banks of all countries of the OTP group with presentations. Among them, a representative of Ipoteka-Bank made a presentation on the management of ESG factors in Ipoteka Bank, emerging problems, their solutions and, in general, the work and achievements of the bank in the direction of green banking.

The speech was well received by the summit participants, and at the end of the speech, a round table was held in the form of interesting questions and discussions about the work carried out by our country in this direction.


It was also noted at the summit that this direction is one of the strategic directions of the OTP group, and it was considered that the acceleration of work in this direction will bring a number of benefits to banks and financial organizations and enterprises. In particular, it was emphasized that attracting cheap resources, increasing the rating of the organization, strengthening its reputation, as well as creating the opportunity to take advantage of the risks and opportunities associated with the new realities associated with climate change that will arise in the future.


The participants of the summit received a lot of interesting and useful information during the speeches of the CEO and Chairman of the OTP group, Mr. Sándor Csányi, senior officer of the Hungarian Regulatory Authority and a number of other experts, especially officials of the subsidiary banks of the OTP group in all countries. Based on this information, Ipoteka Bank plans to implement a number of measures to organize work in this direction.


In addition, during the summit, team building was held for the participants.

In general, this summit created a base for obtaining new knowledge and skills for Ipoteka-Bank.
